Max Irons was born on October 17, 1985, in Camden, London. He is the son of Academy Award-winning actor Jeremy Irons and acclaimed Irish actress Sinéad Cusack.
He has an older brother, Samuel Irons, a photographer, and a half-brother, Irish politician Richard Boyd Barrett. Coming from a celebrated theatrical family, his grandparents were actors Cyril Cusack and Maureen Cusack.
