Mert Fırat entered the world on January 10, 1981, in Ankara, Turkey, to parents Nihat Fırat and Hale Çıklaçekiç.
He grew up alongside his sister Nila Fırat.

He performed in Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” and soon transitioned into television, landing early roles in series such as “Bizim Evin Halleri” and “Yersiz Yurtsuz.”
His first major film role came in 2009 with “Başka Dilde Aşk,” which he also co-wrote with İlksen Başarır and which earned him the Best Screenplay award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
His breakthrough to mainstream prominence arrived with the television series “Binbir Gece,” where he portrayed Burak İnceoğlu from 2006 to 2008.
