Miles Burris was born on June 27, 1988, in Orangevale, California. He was brought up by Jim Burris and Donna Burris; his father played college football at Oregon State and became an important influence on his sporting development.
Burris grew up in Northern California and attended Granite Bay High School, where he earned All-Metro League honors twice and was named the school’s defensive player of the year as a junior and senior.
