Early Life and Education
Simon Bird was born on 19 August 1984 in Guildford, Surrey, to Heather and Graham Bird, both economics professors at the University of Surrey.
He grew up as the third of four children, with siblings Tom, Alan, and Anne. He attended the Royal Grammar School in Guildford before going on to read English at Queens’ College, Cambridge.
