Terence Cao, a Singaporean on-screen prodigy, was born in Singapore on October 6, 1967. His early education occurred at an Anglo-Chinese school, where he completed his primary and secondary education. 

Following his graduation, Cao embarked on a career as a flight attendant with Singapore Airlines, dedicating several years of his life to this profession.

Terence Cao‘s career took off when he joined Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (S.B.C.) in 1989 after starting as a flight attendant. In 2011, Cao earned his first Best Supporting Actor award at the Star Awards for his exceptional performance in Double Bonus.

Personal Life

Terence Cao, 56, allegedly had an affair with a Shanghainese lady in 2010, according to local media in November 2012. The mother had her child in China and traveled to Singapore to find him. A DNA test revealed that Cao is the biological father of the then-20-month-old girl.

Despite not being married, Terence Cao has a daughter, Shi En, and is rumored to be dating Dawn Yeoh.

Terence Cao faced drunk driving charges after failing a breathalyzer test in 2005. According to reports, he caused a disturbance at the hospital and refused to provide a blood sample. Eventually, he was fined S$4,100, and his driver’s license was suspended for two years starting in 2008.
