Alanis Guillen was born in Santo André, São Paulo on May 20, 1998. Her father, Fulvio Caratella, is a civil engineer (and with interests in music), and her mother, Valéria Guillen, is an architect and interior designer. Her name “Alanis” was inspired by the Canadian singer Alanis Morissette, a choice made during her mother’s pregnancy.
She has two older siblings: a brother named Marcelo and a sister named Isabela. From childhood, Alanis appeared in commercials for brands such as Nestlé, Marisa, Nextel, and Mercado Livre.
