Early life and education
Auden Thornton was born on October 21, 1988, in Houston, Texas. She was brought up by her parents, Shauna Lee Maher Thornton, an elementary-school teacher, and Michael Lawrence Thornton, a private-practice lawyer.
She grew up in Houston as the eldest of four daughters, alongside her three younger sisters, Leydon, Loren and Evan Leigh.
Thornton developed an interest in acting while young and performed in school productions at St. John’s School in Houston.
She also found a theatrical mentor at Houston’s Alley Theatre, where she continued developing her performance skills.
