She has two sisters, Candice Modiselle and Refilwe Modiselle, who are also active in the entertainment sector. Her father, Percy Modiselle, was a model, and her mother, Grace Modiselle, is an entrepreneur.

Bontle spent most of her early life in Soweto, where she attended high school. From an early age, Bontle was interested in entertainment, particularly dance and music.
