Her initial interest in voice acting came unexpectedly when her mother accidentally bought a magazine about voice actors instead of the fashion magazine she meant to buy. The publication introduced Saito to the profession and sparked her interest in pursuing voice performance.
During her final year of high school, Saito began studying at the Japan Narration Acting Institute while continuing her education.
She later balanced university studies with voice-acting training and spent several years developing her technique under instructor Kan Tokumaru.
After completing her training, she auditioned successfully for I’m Enterprise and began her professional career in the late 1990s.

She subsequently voiced Yona in Yona of the Dawn, Chloe von Eizenbern in Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Aika S. Granzchesta in Aria, and Aoi Asahina in the Danganronpa franchise. Saito has also become established in the video-game industry.
