Danielle Christine Fishel, now at the age of 43, was born on May 5, 1981, in Mesa, Arizona. Her mother, Jennifer Fishel, worked as a personal manager, and her father, Rick Fishel, was the former president of Masimo Corporation. She has Maltese descent in her background. Fishel completed her high school education at Calabasas High School in Calabasas, California, in 1999.

When she was 27, Fishel started going to California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) and completed her studies in 2013. While studying at the university, she worked as a math tutor and this is how she met another student named Tim Belusko.

After dating for more than three years, she got engaged to Tim Belusko in May 2012. Their wedding took place on October 19, 2013, in Los Angeles, with Ben Savage and Home Improvement cast member Jonathan Taylor Thomas reportedly in attendance. In 2015, she filed for divorce, which was finalized in March 2016.

On March 22, 2018, Fishel and Jensen Karp got engaged, and they tied the knot on November 4, 2018. In January 2019, Fishel announced her pregnancy, and in July 2019, she gave birth to a boy. In August 2021, Fishel welcomed their second son.

Career

In 1991, when she was 10 years old, Fishel was discovered while performing in a community theater production of The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan. She then went on to do voice-overs and commercials, including ones for Mattel as a Barbie Girl. Fishel also made appearances on Full House and Harry and the Hendersons. Her mother became her manager during this time.

At the age of 12, in 1993, Fishel landed the role of Topanga Lawrence-Matthews on the ABC series Boy Meets World. Originally intended as a small part, Topanga became a recurring role and then a regular on the show. Her character was known for being intelligent and mature, replacing the nerdy Stuart Minkus as the brains of the class. Boy Meets World ended in 2000 after seven years.

Fishel achieved recognition, appearing on the cover of Seventeen in December 1998 and winning a 1998 Young Star award for her performance in a comedy TV series.
