After graduating in 2004, Fockeline Ouwerkerk had small guest roles in series during her student years, including Inleven/uitleven and ZOOP. In 2005 she landed a role in the television film Staatsgevaarlijk.

Following that, she appeared in a variety of television series and films. She had a fixed role in the daily series Samen as Roxanne Kloosterboer, though the series was cancelled after a few months due to low viewership.

She obtained a more lasting role in De co-assistent in 2007, playing Sanne Kamphuis, although her character did not carry into later seasons except for brief returns.
