Early life and education
Gingle Wang was born on February 7, 1998, in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan. She was raised primarily by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wang. She has one sister.
Gingle has said that she has relatively few memories of her father following her parents’ divorce. She attended Taipei Municipal Tian-Mu Junior High School before moving to the United States, where she studied at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy.
While living abroad, she developed a strong interest in writing and published her first novel, Bale Love, in 2013 under the pen name Jun Jun, when she was only 15. She later published a second novel, Cockroach Philosophy. In 2016, she returned to Taiwan and was admitted to Temple University, Japan Campus, where she studied political science.
