Early Life & Education 

Jackie Appiah was born to Ghanaian parents on December 5th, 1983, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Kwabena Appiah (father) and Janet Owusu (mother), natives of Ghana, were her parents. 

She was the fifth and final child of the pair. Jackie Appiah‘s father was related to the late Joe Appiah, a well-known Kumasi-based Ghanaian attorney. From 1957 to 1961, Joe Appiah represented Atwima-Amansie in the House of Representatives. She was raised in Canada, but when she was ten, she and her mother went to Ghana. 

She has always had a passion for playing and took on many different parts during her time in school.

Jackie Appiah began her primary schooling at Derry Down Public School in Toronto, Canada. She played a part in every school play at the end of the year, which ignited her passion for performing at a young age. 

Jackie Appiah attended the Faith Montessori School in Accra after relocating to Ghana. After leaving Faith Montessori, where she had been the Girl’s Entertainment Prefect, she enrolled at Achimota Preparatory School. 

At Accra’s Havard College, the actress completed her senior high education. She came in as the show’s first runner-up. 

Early in 2022, Jackie Appiah and her manager received a degree from the University of Ghana. The stunning actress earned a Bachelor of Arts in Information Studies and Political Science with a 2nd Class Upper.

She gained notoriety in the late 1990s when she was cast as Enyonam Blagogee in the hit television series Things We Do for Love.
