Jenny Eclair was born on March 16, 1960, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Derek Hargreaves and June Hargreaves. She grew up alongside her sister Sarah Hargreaves and brother Benjamin Hargreaves, both of whom became barristers. Her ethnicity is English, and her religion is Christianity.
