Lisa Berry was born on 6 November 1979 in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
She was raised by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Berry, as the youngest of four children.
As a child, Berry was shy and quiet, but her siblings helped her develop greater confidence and encouraged her expressive side.
Her interest in performance took shape at 17 when she appeared in a community production of Fame: The Musical.
