Early Life

Lola Yoʻldosheva was born on September 4, 1985, in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, to her parents Ravshanbek Yoʻldoshev, the founder of the record label Tarona Records, and Gulnara Yoʻldosheva. Raised in a music-oriented family that supported her talent from a young age, she grew up alongside her siblings Anora Yoʻldosheva, Asal Yoʻldosheva and Rustam Yoʻldoshev.

After high school, she moved to Moscow to study at Moscow International University, later returning to Tashkent for business studies at Westminster International University in Tashkent before earning a law degree from Tashkent State University of Law. Her religion is Islam.

Lola Yoʻldosheva began her professional journey in 1999 under the stage name Maya, performing mostly in Russian. She returned to Uzbekistan and shot to fame in 2003 with the hit Muhabbatim (“My Love”), released in both Uzbek and Russian. Signed to her father’s Tarona Records, she has released seven studio albums: Netayin? (2002), Muhabbatim (2004), Topdim baxtimni (2005), Imkon ber (2010), Senga (2011), Sogʻindim (2012) and Kel (2014).

Her acting debut came in 2004 with the film Sevinch, followed by roles in Kelgindi kuyov (2005), Yarim baxt (2006), Jodugar (2011), Yondiradi Kuydiradi (2011) and Bu telba muhabbat yoxud Farhod va Shirin (2014). She took a hiatus after marriage but returned in 2011 with successful solo concerts.
