Early Life and Education
Oh Yeon-seo was born on June 22, 1987, in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, and grew up in Changnyeong County.
She is the daughter of Oh Bok-hae and Kang Jin-sook and has a younger brother, Oh Tae-han. At 15, she accompanied friends to an SM Entertainment audition in Daegu but was unsuccessful; another agency subsequently recruited her, leading to her move to Seoul and debut with LUV in 2002.
Her education included Changnyeong Elementary School, Seongwon Middle School, and Anyang Arts High School, where she studied theater and film.
She later attended Dongguk University, graduating in Theater and Film. Oh is ethnically Korean and is identified with Protestant Christianity.

Oh Yeon-seo entered show business in 2002 as a member of LUV, performing under her birth name and releasing the group’s debut album Story, which included “Orange Girl” and “I Still Believe in You.”
