Shwetha Rakshitha (41 years old) was born on 31 March 1984. She was brought up in Bangalore, the daughter of cinematographer B. C. Gowrishankar and actress Mamatha Rao.

Although she initially pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, Bengaluru, she discontinued during the first year and instead enrolled in a correspondence Bachelor of Arts program in 2001. She also undertook a short acting course under Krishnamurthy Kavathar before entering the film industry.
