Early life and education
Rebecca Budig was born on June 26, 1973, in Cincinnati. She’s the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Budig. She spent her childhood in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, and is the youngest of eight children, having five sisters and two brothers.
Her religion is Christianity. At about age nine, she began attending the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, graduating in 1991.
She later studied zoology at Miami University in Ohio before leaving during her sophomore year to pursue acting opportunities in Los Angeles.
At her manager’s recommendation, she dropped out of college during her sophomore year (after 1.5 years) to pursue acting in Los Angeles. Once in California, she honed her skills by studying at the Howard Fine Acting Studio and the Young Actors Space.

Rebecca Budig began her entertainment career in 1993 after appearing in Aerosmith’s music video “Livin’ on the Edge.”
Her first significant television role came in 1995 when she joined Guiding Light as Michelle Bauer, remaining on the soap until 1998.

Rebecca Budig, 53 years old, is married to Michael Benson, a television marketing executive.
They married in 2012 after her previous marriages to Daniel Geller, from June to October 2000, and Bob Guiney, from July 3, 2004, until their divorce in 2010.
