The single, which was used as the theme song for Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, became a major commercial success and sold more than two million copies in Japan.

She followed the success of the single with her debut solo album Lady Generation in 1995. Although she continued releasing music, Shinohara gradually shifted her attention toward acting and became one of Japan’s leading television actresses.
