Shubhangi Atre, a talented actress and model, was born on April 11, 1981, in Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh, India, to Roopnarayan Atre, a retired Public Works Department engineer, and Mrs. Atre, a homemaker.

Raised in a Deshastha Brahmin Hindu family, she grew up with her elder sister, Poorva Pare, in various cities around Indore due to her father’s job transfers. Her family later settled in Bhopal.

Shubhangi attended Bal Niketan Higher Secondary School, Indore, and graduated from Holkar Science College, Indore. She played Preeti in Do Hanson Ka Jodaa (2009–2010) on NDTV Imagine and a negative role in Havan (2011–2012) on Colors TV. Shubhangi replaced Shilpa Shinde in Chidiya Ghar (2013–2014) on SAB TV as Koyal Ghotak, and again in 2016 as Angoori Manmohan Tiwari in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! on &TV, a role she has played since, beating 80 actresses in auditions.
