Veronica Ngô came into the world on 26 February 1979 in Cầu Kè, Trà Vinh, Vietnam.
She is the youngest of three children born to Mr. and Mrs. Ngô, with two older brothers, Ngô Phong and Ngô Vũ. At the age of 10, she left Vietnam by boat with her family and eventually settled in Norway, where she grew up in Lillehammer after being taken in by a foster family.
Her parents later separated, and her mother also relocated to Norway.
