Early life and education

Veronika Lukyanenko was born on June 26, 2002, in Kyiv, Ukraine. She was raised by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lukyanenko. Her mother has been publicly described as supportive of her decision to pursue acting.

Lukyanenko developed an interest in performance during childhood. She has recalled that her first filming experience came when she was seven, although she initially disliked being on set.

Veronika Lukyanenko began acting professionally as a child, appearing in television productions from around the age of eight.

Her early credits included Labyrinths of Fate, Officer Wives and Between Love and Hate. She subsequently accumulated roles in Ukrainian and Russian-language television dramas and melodramas.

One of her notable early roles was in the television series Officer Wives, followed by appearances in The 25th Hour, Deadline, Papa Dan and Who Are You?. She also appeared in Zatmenie, playing the younger version of Sveta.

In 2018, she appeared in Yuriy Bykov’s drama The Factory (Zavod), playing teenage Anna Zhilina. The same period brought her to the Ukrainian television series School, where she portrayed Eva. Her character became one of the recognizable young figures in the series’ later storyline.

Lukyanenko gained wider international recognition from the Ukrainian-Crimean drama Homeward (Evge), released in 2019. She played Masha in the film, which follows a Crimean Tatar family returning to Crimea.
