Vikneswary Se (born June 10th, 1985) is a talented Indian actress and TV personality best known for her work in Tamil and Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in the 2006 Tamil film Naduven, for which she won the Vijay Award for Best Female Debut.

Since then, she has appeared in several films in both Tamil and Malayalam, including the commercially successful movie Sathurangam.

Vikneswary Se was born on June 10th, 1985, in Chennai, India. She is the fourth of five siblings. She has a sister named Yuvethra Se, who passed on at 26.

As her father did not want to raise his children in India, she moved to Chennai with her family when she was just 11 years old. 

Vikneswary Se has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Anna University, Chennai. She pursued an MBA degree but had to drop out after two years because of her work commitments. One of her sisters, Yuvethra Se, passed away on June 21st, 2021, after a brief illness.

Personal Life

Vikneswary Se is married to a Singaporean man named Hamren Ah. The couple got engaged in 2015, and in 2017, they tied the knot in India. She is originally from India, and she met Hamren Ah while he was working in Singapore. 

They hit it off immediately, and they’ve been together ever since. Vikneswary Se and Hamren Ah are extremely happy together, although there are no reports about their children.

Career

Growing up in India, it was an easy decision for Vikneswary Se to pursue a career as an actor, as she has been performing since the age of 5. She honed her skills by joining theatre workshops throughout college. 

She then migrated to Malaysia from India before finally moving to Chennai, where she found success with her work on stage. Having started her film career in 2001, Vikneswary Se has appeared in over 100s and is one of the most recognizable actors in the Hindi film industry.

She was recognized with a Kalaimamani award from her native state of Tamil Nadu. She is among the few actors to have won a Filmfare Award for Best Actress (for Kadhal Parisu).
