Early life and education
Yukie Nakama was born on October 30, 1979, in Urasoe, Okinawa, Japan, as the youngest of five children in a working-class Okinawan family. Her father worked as a fisherman, while her mother worked as a civil servant.
She grew up alongside four older brothers in Okinawa.
