Career
Patrick Brice began developing his filmmaking career while studying at the California Institute of the Arts.
His 2011 documentary short Maurice, created as his student thesis, received recognition at film festivals and won the Best Short Documentary award at the Florida Film Festival. He subsequently appeared as an actor in the independent drama Leave Me Like You Found Me in 2012.
His breakthrough arrived in 2014 with Creep, his first feature film as director, writer, and actor. Made with Mark Duplass, the film premiered at SXSW before being distributed through Netflix and became one of his best-known works.
He followed it with The Overnight in 2015, starring Adam Scott, Taylor Schilling, and Jason Schwartzman, before returning to the Creep franchise with Creep 2 in 2017.
Brice subsequently expanded into television, directing and writing episodes of the HBO anthology series Room 104. He directed Corporate Animals in 2019 and later helmed Netflix’s There’s Someone Inside Your House, released in 2021.
He also became closely involved with The Creep Tapes, serving as a writer, director, and executive producer across the series.
