Early Life and Education
Aok Sokunkanha is now 37 years old and was born on 14 September 1987 in Chamkarmon District of Phnom Penh. She is the eldest of three children, with one younger sister and one younger brother. Her father, Aok Boni, is a musician and currently lives in Australia, while her mother, In Sokun, is a dance instructor and teacher at the Royal University of Fine Arts.
After completing high school, she studied art at the Royal School of Fine Arts (also called Royal Fine Arts School), with a major in Khmer traditional dance.

Career
Aok Sokunkanha began her singing career in 1999 when she joined Reaksmey Steung Sangke (RSK) Production, initially featuring in early releases though prominence came in 2005 with the song “Where Did You Get My Number” on RSK Vol.25, as the production began releasing more of her music. Following RSK’s closure in 2005, she performed at U2 Entertainment Club, which led to her joining U2 Entertainment Production in 2006.
In 2007 she gained popularity with the song “Mae Tha” (U2 Vol.17), a cover of a Thai band’s work. After U2 Production closed in 2007, she moved to Rock Music Production in 2008, where her song “Khmer National Pride” resonated positively with audiences. By the end of 2008 she joined Rasmey Hang Meas Production, where she remains active.
In addition to her singing career, she has appeared in films and television as an actress. Her film roles include Kmouch Pchea Bat (supporting role), Pdey Laor (lead role), Coffee Shop Girl – The Star (main role), and Momeach Proleng Plarng (supporting role).
From the mid-2010s onward, she became well known as a judge and coach on major Cambodian singing reality shows, including The Voice Cambodia, Cambodian Idol, The Voice Kids Cambodia, and The X Factor Cambodia. In 2020 she expanded her presence into commercial endorsements, becoming a brand ambassador for Chip Mong Land and Chip Mong Bank.
