Josh Kiszka, a musician and vocalist, was born to Karen Kiszka and Kelly Kiszka on April 23, 1996, in the small town of Frankenmuth, Michigan, in the United States. 

Growing up in a loving household, Josh had the company of his two brothers, Jake Kiszka and Sam Kiszka. 

As he embarked on his educational journey, Josh Kiszka attended Frankenmuth High School to pursue his studies. Additionally, he furthered his education by enrolling at Delta College.

Career

Josh Kiszka embarked on his musical journey by performing at James Bar’s playschool while still a student. Garnering acclaim and popularity for his talent, he established his own band in 2012, christening it Greta Van Fleet. It wasn’t until March 2017 that the band inked a deal with Lava Records to release their debut studio EP, Black Smoke Rising. This EP and From the Fires emerged as the band’s most renowned works, stemming from their inaugural album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army.

The band gained significant traction with their track Highway Tune, which dominated the US Mainstream Rock and US Active Rock charts for four consecutive weeks in 2017. Renowned for hits like Edge of Darkness, Age of Man, Safari Song, and You’re the One, Greta Van Fleet‘s music is distinguished by its unique fusion of blues-rock and hard rock.

The band’s deep-rooted appreciation for blues music was pivotal in their formation. Their memorable performance on Saturday Night Live in early 2019 further solidified their standing, accompanied by the release of their third single, Lover, Leaver, in the same year.

In the band, Josh Kiszka‘s brother, Sam Kiszka, assumes the role of bassist while Jake showcases his skills as a guitarist. With three brothers collaborating harmoniously, Greta Van Fleet collectively crafts their captivating songs and albums.
