She is known professionally as Liza Owen. The UK-based artist is one of the top pop singers in Europe.

Early Life

Liza Owen is of mixed race. Her father is British while her mum is from Cambodia, a Southeast Asian Country. She is very proud of her mixed heritage and identifies as a Cambodian. Because of her mother, she has Khmer ancestry.

Gifted with a unique voice, she decided that she wanted to become a singer since she was seven. Having noticed that she had a sonorous voice, the Owens registered Liza for music lessons. By age 13, she had already met with a producer and started recording music.

The band decided to split up in 2013 and Danielle decided to pursue a solo career. She chose a new stage name for herself and became known as Liza Owen.

In the past eight years, she has released a lot of hit singles, winning her many fans and securing herself a spot among UK’s leading pop singers. She has dropped songs like Mind Blown, Young Guns, and Better With Me. In the single, Young Guns, she samples a Buddhist monk’s voice who is chanting a prayer.

In November 2020, she was invited by MTV to perform on their live jam session which was aired on Instagram. 2020 saw Liza Owen release pop jams such as Getting Good, Starry Eyed and Why Aren’t We Having Sex.
