His religion is Christianity. Marcus began performing at about three years old, gradually developing skills in singing, acting, dancing, and stage performance. Music became a major interest during his childhood, and he later expanded his skills to include piano, drums, ukulele, and keyboard.

At age five, Marcus entered the entertainment scene by appearing on the children’s segment Mini Me on It’s Showtime, where he portrayed a young Jon Bon Jovi.

He returned for the second season as a wildcard performer. In 2016, he entered SM Little Stars and became the Boy Grand Winner, an achievement that helped open further opportunities in entertainment.

Marcus continued his education while pursuing an increasingly demanding entertainment schedule. By 2025, he remained a HORI7ON member, continuing his studies while balancing rehearsals, recordings, performances, and group activities.

His education has therefore remained an important part of his teenage years alongside his professional development.

Career

Marcus began his professional entertainment career as a child performer, appearing on television and developing experience in music and acting.

His 2016 victory at SM Little Stars gave him an early platform, while his appearances on It’s Showtime helped introduce him to Filipino television audiences.

In 2018, Marcus made his film debut in My 2 Mommies, playing Tristan. That same period marked his transition into musical theatre, as he joined the Asian touring production of The Lion King as Young Simba. His performances took him to venues in Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Hong Kong between 2018 and 2020.

Marcus also joined the children’s television program Team Yey!, where he performed in music-focused segments. His early work established him as a versatile young performer before he focused more on singing, dancing, and idol training.

In 2022, Marcus entered Dream Maker, a Filipino-South Korean survival program designed to form a new global boy group. At 13, he was the youngest contestant. He consistently ranked among the top contestants and ultimately finished second overall, securing a place in HORI7ON’s final seven-member lineup.

HORI7ON officially debuted on July 24, 2023, making Marcus the group’s youngest member and a vocalist. He has participated in the group’s recordings and songwriting, including the song “Mama.” He also joined the project group izx!, where he performs under the stage name Max.
