Early Life and Education
Taec-yeon was born on December 27, 1988, in the Gangnam District of Seoul, South Korea. He is a Capricorn.

Ok Taec-yeon joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee in 2006 after his sister persuaded him to audition. He appeared in the documentary Hot Blood alongside fellow trainees who would go on to form South Korea’s idol groups, and he officially debuted as a member of 2PM on September 4, 2008, with the mini album Hottest Time of the Day.
