Shooter Jennings was born on May 19, 1979, in Nashville, Tennessee, to legendary country musicians Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter. He grew up with five half-siblings: Terry Vance Jennings, Buddy Dean Jennings, Julie Rae Jennings, Deana Jennings, and Tomi Lynne.
He grew up surrounded by musicians and spent much of his childhood traveling on tour buses and visiting recording studios.
