Phillip Nickolas Katsabanis (born June 17, 1995), better known by his stage name Stitches, is a creative American rapper and songwriter. He used to go by the name Lil Phill before changing his name to Stitches. 

In 2014, he released his first mixtape, No Snitching Is My Statement, followed by his debut album, For Drug Dealers Only, in 2015.

In October 2014, Stitches was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, for possessing cocaine and drug paraphernalia. In February 2016, while on tour in Germany, Stitches was arrested for allegedly assaulting a fan. He was later released from custody.

Early Life

Stitches was born in Miami, Florida, on June 17, 1995, to Esther Katsabanis (mother) and Alexander Katsabanis (father), who divorced when he was a year old. 

Stitches, who is of Greek and Cuban ancestry, grew up in Kendall, Florida, a Miami suburb. 

After coming to South Beach, Florida, from Miami, the rapper claimed he began selling cocaine and firearms to sustain himself.

He also has two older brothers, Alexander Katsabanis Jr and Dimitri Katsabanis.

Education

Since he was a child, Stitches has had a quick temper. He attended the Miami-Dade County’s G. Holmes Braddock High School but dropped out. 

According to him, Stitches was expelled for punching the principal. The young man was arrested and has been on his own since then.

Personal Life

Stitches was married before being divorced in 2017. Erica Duarte is the rapper’s ex-wife, and she works as a court assistant. 

Erica Duarte was the rapper’s first wife. Stitches got married to his wife when she was 17 years old.

Stitches and Erica Duarte reportedly married in 2012, giving birth to three children: Rocco Katsabanis, Evelyn Katsabanis, and Rex Katsabanis, before parting ways.

Career

Stitches is a rapper known for dripping in diamonds and also likes dressing up in designer brands such as Gucci, Dior, and Louis Vuitton. 

In addition to his rapping skills, Stitches also has a heart of gold. In an interview on The Breakfast Club, he discussed his philanthropic work. He stated that the greatest feeling he ever has is from doing good deeds for other people. This is a beautiful sentiment, and it is great to see celebrities support charitable causes.

One of Stitches‘ earliest tapes was dubbed Brick Bible, and the second was dubbed Supply & Demand. Following the publication of all of these recordings, he went on to record his debut album. 

This album contains the song titled Brick In Yo Face, which catapulted him to fame. This song marked a turning point in Stitches‘ career and established his name in the entertainment industry. The song music video received over 28 million views on YouTube. 

The unconventional hip-hop sensation went on to record Tales of a Drug Lord, which was his second album. One of the tracks from the album titled Pain and Success was also a massive hit, with loads of positive feedback.
