Manson‘s second book was released in 2016 to resounding praise. In particular, it debuted in the How-to and Miscellaneous category at position six on the New York Times Bestseller List during the week of October 2, 2016. After experiencing initial success, the book rose to the top in July 2017. As of September 2022, it had held a remarkable 268 weeks in the top 10 until eventually falling off. Over 12 million books have been sold due to this unheard-of longevity and appeal.

In 2008, Mark Manson embarked on his journey as a blogger by creating his first blog focusing on dating advice. Two years later, in 2010, he expanded his online presence by launching a new blog called Post Masculine, aimed at providing men with valuable guidance on various aspects of life.
