He was later granted a diversion program by a judge and ordered to attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week for six months and undergo therapy sessions.
Earlier, in 2006, Osment was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles and faced DUI and marijuana possession charges. He pleaded no contest and was sentenced to three years of probation, 60 hours in an alcohol rehabilitation program, a fine, and mandatory meetings with AA.
