Meet Madylin Sweeten’s Siblings: Claudia, Sullivan, Sawyer, Maysa, Emma, Guiliana, Elliette, Jaymeson & Luella Sweeten

Madylin Sweeten, 34, best known for her role as Ally Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond (1996–2005), was born Madylin Anne-Michele Sweeten on June 27, 1991, in Brownwood, Texas.

She is 34 years old. She grew up in a close Catholic family with Italian-American, Irish-American, and English roots, influences often reflected in the family traditions and the warm gatherings her mother frequently shares online.

Her parents are Timothy Lynn “Tim” Sweeten and Elizabeth Anne “Gini” (née Millsap), who divorced during Madylin’s early childhood. Her mother later married Jerry Gini.

The Sweeten surname comes from her father’s English and Irish ancestry, while her mother’s Italian heritage shows in the family’s naming traditions, especially among the younger children.

Madylin is the eldest of ten children. She has three full siblings—her twin brothers, Sawyer and Sullivan, and her younger sister, Claudia—and six younger half-siblings from her mother’s second marriage: Maysa, Emma, Guiliana, Elliette, Jaymeson, and Luella.

She attended Catholic schools in both Texas and California before later earning an associate degree in interior design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles in 2018. She is 5 feet 1 inch (1.55 m) tall.

Madylin married actor Sean Durrie on August 31, 2018, in a private family ceremony. They have one child together, keeping parenthood mostly out of the public eye. Sean is the only long-term partner she has publicly confirmed, and this remains her only marriage.

Many viewers of Everybody Loves Raymond may not realize that Madylin comes from a very large family. Beyond her well-known twin brothers, she has several younger half-siblings, and the Sweeten–Gini family remains close-knit and mostly private today.

Sawyer Sweeten

Sawyer Elliott Sweeten (May 12, 1995 – April 23, 2015) was one of Madylin’s younger twin brothers and her co-star on Everybody Loves Raymond. He played Geoffrey Barone, one of Ray and Debra’s twin sons.

Quiet and reserved, Sawyer stepped away from acting after the series ended. Tragically, he died by suicide at age 19 while visiting family in Texas. His death deeply affected the entire family and cast.

Sullivan Sweeten

Sullivan Skye Sweeten (born May 12, 1995) is Sawyer’s identical twin and Madylin’s other little brother from the original set of Sweeten kids. On Everybody Loves Raymond, he played Michael Barone, the third Barone child.

After the show, Sullivan also chose a private life away from Hollywood. He has occasionally posted on social media and remains very close with Madylin and the rest of the family.

Claudia Sweeten

Claudia Sweeten is the youngest of the four original Sweeten siblings (Madylin, Sawyer, Sullivan, and Claudia). Very little public information exists about Claudia because the family has always been protective of the non-acting siblings. She grew up alongside the Raymond kids but stayed out of the entertainment industry.

Maysa Sweeten

Maysa Sweeten is the oldest of the five younger half-siblings born to Madylin’s mother, Elizabeth Anne Millsap (formerly Gini Sweeten), and her second husband, Jerry Gini.

The younger five are significantly younger than the original four, creating almost two separate “waves” of kids in the family.

Emma Sweeten

Emma Sweeten is the second of the half-siblings. Like her full siblings in the younger group, she has been kept largely private, though family photos occasionally surface on Madylin’s or her mother’s social media.

Guiliana Sweeten

Guiliana Sweeten (sometimes spelt Giuliana in posts) is the third half-sister. The younger girls are often featured together in sweet family photos shared by Madylin and their mom.

Elliette Sweeten

Elliette Sweeten is the fourth half-sister. She was born around the time the older kids were becoming adults, so there’s a big age gap—Madylin is old enough to be her much-older sister (almost aunt-like in some ways).

Jaymeson Sweeten

Jaymeson Sweeten is the only boy in the second group of five and the youngest brother in the entire family lineup. He’s significantly younger than the Raymond-era brothers Sawyer and Sullivan.

Luella Sweeten

Luella Sweeten is the baby of the family and the tenth Sweeten child overall. As the youngest by a wide margin, she’s the little princess of this sprawling sibling group.
