Pailin Chongchitnant was born on March 4, 1983, in Hat Yai, southern Thailand. She was brought up by her parents Mr. Chongchitnant and Mrs. Chongchitnant in a family where she spent much of her playtime in the kitchen helping prepare family meals, making coconut milk by hand, and pounding curry pastes.
