Early Life

Daniel John Bongino was born to Italian-American parents on December 4, 1974, in Queens, New York City. Named John Bongino and Judy. He also has a brother named Joe Bongino. 

He grew up in a working-class family and attended public schools. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps from 1993 to 1997.

Education

Queens College, City University of New York: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1997) and Master of Arts in Psychology (2002). Bongino’s graduate from Pennsylvania State University: Master of Business Administration (2010).

Career

Bongino’s professional journey commenced with his service as an officer in the New York City Police Department (NYPD) for four years. Afterward, he transitioned to the United States Secret Service, safeguarding President George W. Bush and President Obama. 

In pursuit of a political career, Bongino left the Secret Service in 2011 and ran for the United States Senate in Maryland. Regrettably, he was unsuccessful in securing the Republican nomination, which incumbent Ben Cardin had held.

After his unsuccessful political bid, Bongino began working as a political commentator. He became a regular guest on Fox News and other conservative media outlets. 

In 2017, he launched his radio show, The Dan Bongino Show. The show quickly became one of the country’s most popular conservative radio shows.

 After joining Fox News in 2019 as a paid contributor, Bongino hosted his show Unfiltered with Dan Bongino. Renowned for its fierce condemnation of the Democratic Party and the Biden administration, Bongino’s program gained significant attention.
