Marianne Puk Elgård Nielsen, now 57 years old, was born on 3 February 1968 in Hørsholm, Denmark to parent Flemming Elgård and Ruth Elgård. She grew up with a brother, Claus Elgård.

Puk Elgård made her television debut in 1995 on the children’s program Børne1eren on DR1. In 1999 she was hired by TV 2 where she became host of the quiz-show Hvem er hvem?.

She worked at TV 2 until 2003, then returned to DR1 and worked on multiple shows including Flytteklar, Vinterklar, Hokus Krokus, Hjem til hvem, Se det summer, Uventet besøg, and Dagens Danmark.

In 2008 she published her first book, and in August 2009 she became one of the hosts of the show Aftenshowet on DR1. Since 2014 she has been host of the weekend edition of Go’ Morgen Danmark on TV 2.

From 2012 she also took on the role of editor of the advice column “Kære Puk” in the magazine Familiejournalen. In 2024 she participated in the eighth season of the TV 2 entertainment programme Stormester.
