Early Life

Mona Irani was born into an Indian family in Dubai and moved to Mumbai when she was still very young. She was born in 1979, which makes her 45 years old.

She was born and raised in Mumbai, India.

Mona Irani’s parents live in India, and her brother lives in Los Angeles. Her brother works as an engineer at Rockwell Science Center, Los Angeles.

In 1996, Mona Irani met Zubin Irani at one of his business meetings in New York City. They married soon after and had two children together before their divorce in 2007. During their marriage, she continued working as a fashion coordinator while raising their children full-time. 

After they divorced, Mona Irani decided to move back to Mumbai with her child Shanelle Irani so that they could be closer to family members and friends. She began working as a fashion coordinator again until she discovered that she also had a knack for coordinating events.

Career

Mona Irani moved to New York City at age 18 to pursue her dreams of becoming a model. She worked for several years as an assistant to her aunt, who owns an international modelling agency.  

In 2009, she started working with another well-known modelling agency and was soon hired by top designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Oscar de la Renta. 

In 2010, Mona Irani signed on with Ford Models in Mumbai and became their first Indian model. She has appeared in print ads for brands like Victoria’s Secret and L’Oreal Paris. She was also featured in a commercial for Citibank India alongside Shah Rukh Khan. 

Mona Irani recently returned to New York City, where she works as a model coordinator for local fashion shows, including Project Runway and Fashion Week events.
