Jacob Soboroff was born on 27 March 1983 in Los Angeles, California, to real-estate developer and civic leader Steven Louis Soboroff and Patti Ann Schertzer Soboroff.
The eldest of five children, he grew up with his siblings Molly Rebecca Soboroff, Hannah Rose Soboroff, Leah Sarah Soboroff, and Miles Alexander Soboroff and spent his childhood in Pacific Palisades.
