Early Life and Education
Kyle Brandt was born on January 24, 1979, in Hinsdale, Illinois, to Robert Brandt and Georgia Goldberg.
He grew up in the Chicago area and attended Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, where he became the school’s leading rusher in football.
Brandt then attended Princeton University, playing running back and kick returner while studying English.
He graduated in 2001 and also became involved in acting and campus theatre during his university years.

Kyle Brandt entered the public eye in 2001 when he was selected from more than 50,000 applicants for MTV’s The Real World: Chicago.
After completing the reality series, he moved toward acting and landed the role of Philip Kiriakis on NBC’s Days of Our Lives in 2003. He remained with the soap opera until 2006, appearing in hundreds of episodes.
His career then shifted toward sports broadcasting and production. In 2007, Brandt joined The Jim Rome Show as a producer and writer, became executive producer in 2009, and later served as a regular fill-in host.
He also worked on Jim Rome on Showtime. In 2016, he joined NFL Network’s Good Morning Football as one of its original hosts, establishing himself as a prominent voice in American sports media.
Kyle Brandt has continued working across television, radio, podcasting and entertainment. He hosted The Kyle Brandt Football Experience, launched 10 Questions with Kyle Brandt, and later hosted Kyle Brandt’s Basement.
