Early Life & Education

Chadalavada Umesh Chandra was born on the 29th day of March in the year 1966. He was born and raised in the Pedapudi, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh.

His siblings names are Chadalavada Satish Chandra and Ravi Kavita.

He was born to Chadalavada Venugopala Rao and Nayanatara. In Begumpet, he attended Hyderabad Public School. In the year 1987, he graduated from Nizam College

Chadalavada Umesh Chandra was selected for the Indian Police Service in 1991, and he trained at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad.

He worked as an Assistant Superintendent of Police at Warangal from October 1992 until October 1994. He was the driving force behind the successful “Jana Jaagruti” public awareness campaign. Later, he was relocated to Pulivendula, where he worked from November 1, 1994, to February 2, 1995.

Later on, Chadalavada Umesh Chandra was appointed as an Officer on Special Duty to Warangal. He maintained his job in the district, apprehending criminals, supporting the ordinary man, elevating the morale of the police force, and portraying the compassionate side of the police force.

During his time in the Warangal district, people’s perceptions regarding the police shifted considerably. He planned and implemented his strategy using.

Cause Of Death

Chadalavada Umesh Chandra was killed in his car as he was stopped at a traffic light on September 4, 1999. Four Naxalites members opened fire on him and his driver. Both Chadalavada Umesh Chandra and the driver were shot at close range and killed instantly.

He didn’t have his weapon with him on that particular day. When he was pursuing a couple of the Naxalites, they noticed he didn’t have a weapon and turned around and fired twice at him. They shot him in the head after he collapsed on the road.

Chadalavada Umesh Chandra statue was unveiled on September 4, 2000, at Sanjiva Reddy Nagar Cross Roads in Hyderabad.
