Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya (born 15 July 1957) is a clergyman, author, and renowned scientist in Nigeria.
He is the founder of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry, which he started in 1989.
Dr. Daniel Olukoya is also revered as a spiritual father to thousands of people around the world. After finishing at the University of Lagos with a first-class in Microbiology, he moved to the University of Reading, United Kingdom; where he obtained a degree in Molecular Genetics.
Now, he is the General Overseer of MFM with several publications on daily prayers and ministerial materials to his name. He is also the founder of Daniel & Fola Biotechnology Foundation, a registered NGO established to empower Nigerian citizens with modern and contemporary laboratory skills in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.

Early Life
On the 15th of July 1957, Daniel Kolawole Olukoya was born to Mr. and Mrs. Olukoya in Akure, Ondo State.
His father was a civil servant and worked in the Police Force while his mother worked as a local trader at the time.
He received religious tutelage from his father who was a pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). He grew up with very high religious standards, encountering Christ while at secondary school.
Dr. Daniel Olukoya is also an ardent follower of the late Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola, the founder of the CAC church, and often writes about him in his publications.
Due to the disciplinary measure Dr. Daniel Olukoya received in the home, he grew up with a keen dedication to studying, writing, and research. Eventually, these qualities became his footstool in accomplishing so much for himself.
Education
Dr. Daniel Olukoya was recognized for his unerring performance at St. John’s CAC Primary School, Akure. He finished as the best in the school before enrolling at St. Jude’s Primary school, Ebute metta, Lagos; after his family relocated to Lagos State.
On completion of his basic education, he joined Methodist Boys’ High School (MBHS), located on Broad Street, Lagos. There, he learned a lot from a foreign teacher who served as an inspiration to him. He also graduated as the best student of his set with a very commendable Senior School Certificate.
In 1978, Dr. Daniel Olukoya was admitted into the University of Lagos, and studied Microbiology for a stint of four sessions. He also graduated with a first-class and the best result recorded for the course at the time, in the University of Lagos.
His academic prowess earned him a scholarship to study for a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Genetics at the University of Reading, United Kingdom.
Dr. Daniel Olukoya earned his Ph.D. after a three-year spell and returned to Nigeria.
Career
Dr. Daniel Olukoya became a Geneticist and joined the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba, Lagos State. He currently has more than seventy publications in the medical niche. For a brief period, he worked as an external examiner in a number of institutions, majoring in Genetics.
He established himself as a major force in the field of genetics and biotechnology by starting the Daniel & Fola Biotechnology Foundation, a registered NGO established to empower Nigerian citizens with modern and contemporary laboratory skills in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
In 1989, Dr. Daniel Olukoya founded the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Ministry. He started off ministering from his apartment but later got a place in Yaba, where he built the ministries’ headquarters.
Eventually, MFM expanded into several branches, and Prayer City was built along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, with a capacity to seat 100,000 people. The ministry also owns an Institution; Mountain Top University, which was founded in 2015.
Dr. Daniel Olukoya is also a renowned writer, with several prayer books and ministerial materials authored by him.

Dr. Daniel Olukoya is married to Shade Olukoya and is also a father to Elijah Toluwani Olukoya.
