 John Fashanu was a British professional footballer, born on 18 September 1962 in Kensington, London, United Kingdom. He was raised by his parents Pearl Gopal and Patrick Fashanu, along with his sibling Justin Fashanu, John attended Northumbria University Newcastle, where he studied Business and Marketing. 


John Fashanu’s successful football career and subsequent television career. As a center-forward, he played for various clubs in England and New Zealand, including Norwich City, Lincoln City, Crystal Palace, Millwall, and Miramar Rangers (on loan). 

However, his most notable stint was with Wimbledon FC, where he spent eight seasons (1986-1994) and won the FA Cup in 1988. At Wimbledon, he scored over 100 goals in all competitions, solidifying his reputation as a skilled and successful footballer.

John Fashanu had a successful career in professional football, earning two senior caps for the England national team and scoring 134 league goals before retiring at the end of the 1994-95 season. After his retirement, he transitioned into television presenting and became a co-host of the popular British game show Gladiators in the 1990s.
