Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has become the center of a sensational and highly publicized feud following a barrage of shocking allegations made by her ex-boyfriend, Mike Ezu, popularly known as Oil Money.

The drama began playing out on social media, where Ezu accused Okorie of engaging in intimate relationships with several high-profile figures and manipulating her age online. These claims quickly ignited a firestorm across the Nigerian entertainment industry and among fans, with conversations trending on various platforms.

According to Ezu, his actions were sparked by Okorie’s public announcement of their breakup. Allegedly enraged, he reportedly purchased an Instagram account with 8.8 million followers to broadcast what he claimed were her darkest secrets.

In his posts, he claimed that Okorie cannot do without sex for one day” and suggested that seducing her required little more than a luxury car and alcohol.

He further shared photos and accused her of having intimate relationships with several celebrities, including Nollywood actors Yul Edochie, Zubby Michael, and Mike Ezuruonye, musician Naira Marley (Azeez Fashola), and controversial preacher Chukwuemeka Odumeje, also known as Indaboski or the Abido Shaker. Ezu even claimed that Zubby Michael, widely regarded as Okorie’s professional rival, was among her alleged partners—an assertion that has stunned fans due to their known animosity.

Ezu didn’t stop there. He accused Okorie of falsifying her age on Google, alleging she changed it from 50 to 39 to appear younger. These explosive statements were met with mixed reactions online, with some users amplifying the accusations and others dismissing them as malicious lies from a jilted ex.

Angela Okorie quickly retaliated, countering Ezu’s claims with her own set of damaging accusations. In fiery social media posts, she slammed his allegations as baseless and defamatory, stating, “Are these lies the best you could bring on? You can never bring me down with your lies.”

She went on to accuse Ezu of being a serial fraudster and “yahoo boy” who allegedly scammed individuals in the UK of more than $700,000 before fleeing to an unspecified European country. Okorie further alleged that Ezu was involved in the murder of his ex-girlfriend’s husband in Italy and made off with the man’s properties. These claims, though serious, remain unverified.

Okorie also portrayed Ezu as irresponsible in his personal life, claiming he fathered nine children with six different women. She even alleged that he tampered with her Wikipedia page to manipulate her public age—ironically mirroring the accusation he had made against her regarding Google. With her responses, Okorie repositioned herself as a victim of a vindictive ex who is allegedly using his resources to tarnish her reputation.

The situation escalated when movie producer Stanley Chibueze publicly supported Okorie, adding fuel to the fire with his own damning accusations against Ezu. In posts shared on his page, Chibueze described Ezu as a fraudster who duped UK residents of over $700,000 and fled abroad to avoid prosecution.

He also supported Okorie’s claims about the murder in Italy, stating that Ezu absconded with the deceased man’s assets. While official reports have substantiated none of these claims, their repetition by a third party has added gravity and intensified public scrutiny of Ezu’s background.

Angela Okorie, born on August 17, 1985, in Cotonou, Benin Republic, and raised in Nigeria, is a prominent actress, singer, and entrepreneur from Ishiagu, Ebonyi State. A Theatre Arts graduate of the University of Lagos, she debuted in the 2009 film Holy Serpent and has since appeared in numerous Nollywood productions.

She is also a music artist, having released singles such as Legit in 2016, and she operates her own production company. A mother to one son, Chamberlain Orizu, from a previous marriage, Okorie is known for her outspoken nature and has previously been involved in industry controversies—though this current scandal marks a new height in public attention.

Mike Ezu, known as Oil Money, remains a largely mysterious figure. Posts on social media suggest he may have ties to the oil and gas sector, possibly explaining his nickname. His acquisition of a high-profile Instagram account, reportedly solely to target Okorie, has revealed not only considerable financial means but also a flair for public spectacle.

However, the grave allegations levelled against him by Okorie and Chibueze—ranging from fraud to murder—have cast a shadow over his public image. Accusations about his personal life, including fathering multiple children with different women, have further complicated how he is perceived. Despite the attention surrounding him, few verifiable details about his professional background or personal history have emerged.

The scandal has been amplified by the involvement of several well-known public figures named in Ezu’s claims. Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor and director known for his film The Exquires and his controversial personal life, has not responded publicly.

Zubby Michael, another popular Nollywood actor and political appointee in Anambra State, is reportedly stunned by his inclusion in the list, especially given his known rivalry with Okorie. Mike Ezuruonye, a veteran actor celebrated for roles in films like The Assassin, has also remained silent despite being drawn into the controversy.

Naira Marley, already a polarizing figure in Nigerian music and law enforcement circles, was also named, along with Pastor Chukwuemeka Odumeje, whose flamboyant preaching style and celebrity connections have kept him in the public eye.
