Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, is reportedly on remand in a United Kingdom prison, with his next court appearance said to be scheduled for the second week of September.

The update, which has not been confirmed by any UK police force, court or prosecuting authority, was shared by UK based Nigerian media personality Oluomo, who said he was speaking to give an accurate account of the situation.
According to Oluomo, Poco Lee is expected to appear for a plea hearing in September, at which he would typically indicate whether he intends to plead guilty or not guilty to the alleged offence.
Oluomo said he plans to attend the proceedings himself, explaining that supporting members of the Nigerian community in the UK who are facing difficult circumstances, including visits to some currently in prison, is something he does regularly. He stressed that the legal process should be allowed to run its course.
The claims of Poco Lee’s arrest and detention first began circulating online in mid-August, before being picked up by several Nigerian media outlets, including Arise News. Those early reports described the entertainer as having been arrested in the UK in connection with an alleged sexual offence.
However, the identity of the alleged victim, the exact circumstances of the allegation and whether formal charges had been filed remained unclear at the time. No official statement from UK law enforcement or from Poco Lee’s management had been issued to confirm the arrest.
The controversy widened after Texas-based Nigerian rapper Ms Jorji made a separate allegation, claiming that Poco Lee attempted to sexually assault her and a female friend during an encounter in Dallas roughly two years ago. Ms Jorji said the meeting had originally been arranged for her to seek advice about breaking into the music industry.
Her account has drawn heavy reaction online, with some social media users questioning her version of events and others linking it to the reports of his UK detention. There is currently no verified evidence connecting Ms Jorji’s allegation to the reported UK case, and her claims have not been established by a court or confirmed by law enforcement.
Mr Real, a Nigerian singer known for his past friendship with Poco Lee, has publicly defended him, saying he does not believe Poco Lee committed the alleged offence and recalling an earlier trip the two took together in London.
