Aboki Naira to Dollar Black Market Exchange Rate Today, 21st September 2026

Street currency dealers across Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt opened the new trading week quoting the US dollar at ₦1,390 to sell and ₦1,375 to buy on Monday 21 September 2026.

That is the price cash buyers must pay Aboki traders for each dollar, while those converting dollars into naira receive ₦1,375. The ₦15 gap between the two quotes is the usual weekend-to-Monday spread in the unregulated parallel market.

The official Central Bank of Nigeria window listed the naira near ₦1,331.20 per dollar, leaving a premium of about 4.2 percent on the street.

Trackers described the parallel rate as little changed from Sunday, even though some aggregator pages still carried a leftover 2.58 percent tag from earlier in the week. Over the past month the selling price has swung between ₦1,355 and ₦1,505, so today’s ₦1,390 sits in the middle of that range.

Dealers said demand was steady rather than frantic as official trading resumed after the weekend. Travellers, school-fee payers and small importers continue to use the cash market when official allocations are slow or unavailable.

External reserves remain above $54 billion and oil prices have stayed relatively firm, which has helped keep the unofficial premium from widening sharply. Actual cash rates can still differ by a few naira from one neighbourhood to another depending on note quality and the size of the deal.

At these prices $100 costs ₦139,000 on the street and yields ₦137,500 when sold; $1,000 costs ₦1,390,000 and returns ₦1,375,000. Most Nigerians who need dollars outside the banking system treat these Aboki figures as the practical daily benchmark.

Market watchers expect the parallel rate to stay sensitive to any fresh dollar sales by the Central Bank or shifts in oil receipts as the week unfolds.
