On October 28, 2005, Matilda Rose Ledger was born in New York City, New York, United States, to the actors Michelle Williams and the late Heath Ledger. She was born three months before Brokeback Mountain came out, the movie where her parents met and fell in love. 

They allegedly initially met in 2003 while working on the set of Ned Kelly. Matilda Ledger is Kim Ledger, Sally Ledger Bell, Larry R. Williams, and Carla Ingrid Williams‘ granddaughter. Kate Ledger, Olivia Ledger, and Ashleigh Bell are the names of her aunts.
