Bro Safari was born on 6 April 1979 in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents referred to as Mr. and Mrs. Weiller. He grew up in Atlanta as one of five siblings, including three brothers and one sister.
As a youth, he played multiple instruments, including guitar, bass, and drums, and was an avid punk rock fan before developing a strong interest in electronic music during college.
